About
I am a software developer by profession. I am married with two young daughters. I started this site primarily to help me chronicle my software related ideas and problems.
The header image is a montage of a few of the places I have been. In my career so far I have visited Brazil, Canada, England, Germany, Holland, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Philippines, Taiwan, and Turkey. Throughout my travels I have managed to revive my Spanish skills, pick up a fair amount of Portuguese, a smattering of Turkish, and a few stomach parasites.
When I am not traveling I like to engage in variety of activities. I play guitar and have been recently noodling around with a mandolin. I also sing in the choir at my church which I find very fulfilling. In order to keep my sanity and to keep from succumbing to the effects of my sedentary job, I practice Shaolin Kung Fu. During my undergrad days I played pool about 40 hours per week and now I own my own table so I am able to indulge in the old obsession once and a while. Oh yeah, I am usually reading a novel of the SciFi or historical nature — Tolkien and Jeff Shaara are my favorite authors in those fields, respectively.
